I've been dropping my "Family-Friendly Feel-Good MMA flick" comment a lot
And most people just look at me like 'wtf?' Of course, that's not too uncommon for me, but there you have it. The film works once you get past that, but most people can't get past that. Perhaps it's another case of martial myopia, specifically MMA myopia. Pop culture has a mental image of MMA, and it's not "Family-Friendly Feel-Good".
