Wudang Kung Fu Workshop with Zhou Xuan Yun - Chicago
The purpose of the workshop is to teach the Wu Dang Xuan Wu Fist form to the martial arts community. The form is named after the main God of the Wu Dang mountain, the "Xuan Wu Grand God." Since Xuan Wu is the transformation of Yin and Yang, the form is also referred to as the "Two-Pole Yin-Yang Fist." It is considered as an advanced form of the internal martial arts. In the form, one will learn many aspects of martial arts such as the combination of fast and slow movements, the combination of hard and soft power, and various Jins (i.e., refined forces) such as neutralization Jin, circular Jin, and explosively attacking Jin, etc.

5th USKSF North Regional Kung Fu Tournament
All-Chinese Martial Arts tournament held in Madison, WI and organized by the USKSF North Region Director - Nelson Ferreira, the Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association and sanctioned by the United States Kuoshu Federation (U.S.K.S.F.). The tournament is designed with youth, teens, adults and seniors divisions as well as beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions for forms and fighting competitions. It will also include the Lei Tai (full contact), Shuai Jiao, bridging hands (Chi Sao), push hands and weapon sparring events. We have expansions on the Internal divisions as well. All events will adhere to the U.S.K.S.F. format for judging criteria and all judges will undergo training to be qualified judges and/or referees for this event. We welcome all Chinese style martial artists and Chinese martial arts schools regardless of style or affiliation. The 16th Annual Collegiate Wushu Tournament
Get excited, mark your calendars, gather your wushu-ren. The Virginia Wushu Club at the University of Virginia is hosting The 16th Annual Collegiate Wushu Tournament! The Virginia Wushu Club of over 30 active members, led by some of the most experienced US Wushu athletes such as Colvin Wang and Eugene Moy, has plans to make this event one to remember in the history of Collegiates. The biggest college wushu teams of Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UO, and UMCP have already expressed interest in competing. What are you waiting for? Registration opens January 1st, 2012.
