Taiji Applications Workshop
Sifu Onassis Parungao will be hosting a Taiji Apps Workshop at "Aiping Tai Chi and Qigong Center"
It is for students interested in advancing their practice of taiji. This workshop is suitable for students of all styles. Whether you are beginner or advanced, man or woman, young or old, this workshop will advance y...our understanding of taiji and impart many practical lessons. You will learn how to create a stick point, taij stepping - 5 directions, yielding and following, two person drills, and more. This class will have material not normally found in workshops or seminars. Fee: $60.

Shaolin Qi Retreat
Relaxing, Refreshing Awakening, & Enlightening, Unveil the inner wisdom in us all
This Qi retreat will be held at Pensacola Beach Escapade, 1100 Ariola Drive, Pensacola Beach, FL 3256 on February 24, 25, 26, 2012.
All classes will be taught by Grand Master Shi Deru, Shaolin Temple Southern Yard 31st generation indoor disciple and teacher of martial arts, traditional medicine, health and wellness for decades.
Participants will follow the Master in Zen meditation and Qi exercises, learning to breathe and stretch in various postures to relax the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
Movements of Qi Gong and Qi guided exercises will improve mental and physical well-being and balance Qi flow. Shaolin Tai Gong will help each participant to increase muscle power and improve mental and physical well-being to free oneself from emotions and mental attachments.
Xi Shui Gong (Bone Marrow Cleansing Qi Gong which is one of the topics covered) is aimed at cleansing the Qi Channels to improve Qi flow and balance for self-healing and detoxification.
Classes will also include other traditional medical Qi Gong therapeutic exercises in improving joint conditioning, and cleansing body with Zen (Chan) meditation.

Chinese Traumatology W/Tui Na Massage
This foundational seminar covers the basics of Die Da medicine , a method to treat trauma verified by warriors and martial artists for thousands of years in China. Die Da Ke commonly translated as fall and hit medicine is the traditional art of healing injuries such as sprains, strains, bruises, ligament, tendon, muscle and bone injuries. Die Da is the basis of trauma and orthopedic medicine practiced today in traditional Chinese hospitals. This how-to, hands on class combines, lecture, demonstration and the practice of various techniques including the etiologies, pathologies, principles of treatment for soft tissue injuries from sports and martial arts using tui na (push grasp), dian xue (cavity press) massage, external herbal applications ( plasters, liniments, soaks) cupping ,moxibustion and Chi Kung exercises. Proper use of Die Da Ke can help you, your family, and fellow students. Prerequisites: the spirit of a healer.
