    Dialogue: A Public Service Announcement

    Greetings,

    Here it goes:

Old man: Hey, Kid. Howya doing?

Kid: Just fine Old man. I have just sent out for an iron palm dvd. I can't wait for it to arrive.

O- Really? What kind of health program are you on?

    K- What do you mean?

O- What kind of Health Program are you on?

K- Well, the dvd comes with meditations and exercises to bring the chi out to the hands.

O- That's nice. Now what kind of health program are you on?

K- Could you please explain what you mean by "health program"?

O- Certainly. Some styles have the Iron Vest, the Golden Bell, Iron Thread, Tendon Restructure. These disciplines strengthen the muscles, bones and endocrine systems. Primordial to all of them is standing meditation. The standing meditation builds the chi, opens the channels and circulates the energy through the body. Even something so simple as the eight pieces of brocade can be helpful in this regard. The proper strengthening of the body is essential to any martial pursuit, including iron palm.

K- No, I don't do any of those things. The dvd comes with recipes for outstanding Dit Da Jow. That will open the channels and bring the chi to the hands.

O- Do you really think that is the true purpose of Iron Hit Wine?

K- Yes. That is what they say.

O- Sometimes you have to be careful about what people say.

    K- I'm listening to you, aren't I?

O- HAHAHAHahaha. If only your shirt had a collar.

    K- Why?

O- I would....marvel... at it. What do you plan to do with iron palm training?

K- I don't plan to hurt anyone. I just want to set up a stack of bricks and impress my friends by breaking them.

O- Have you ever tried a hammer?

K- No.... Wait a minute. You're joking!! Hahahahaha

O- Well, I have said enough. Good luck to you with your practice.

    K- I'll keep in touch.

    SIX MONTHS LATER.....

K- Hey, Old Man. How are ya?

O- The question is how are you?

K- I am doing just fine. I really took the time to think about our last conversation. I managed to find someone to teach me standing meditation and I have been really working with it. It is beautiful. I feel like a sponge of energy.

O- What about that iron palm stuff?

K- I am putting that on hold for a while. What you said to me made sense.

    O- I didn't say anything.... I'm innocent!!

K- Deny if you wish (laughing). I think I understand what Iron Hit wine is supposed to do.

    O- And what is that?

K- From my limited experience with standing meditation, it helps keep the channels from closing.

O- (the old man's eyes twinkled, he smiled slightly) It seems that some nuts are not all nuts.

K- I'll think on that one, Old man. Take care.

    O- Peace

moderate hitting with fist or palm is still possible

wear some glove or other protective gear and hit away with a punching bag.

the short cut to become an iron man, yes, you need to wear the iron man suit from movie one or movie II.
