Big Kung Fu show in Reno, Toronto & Vancouver

Chun Yi - Legend of Kung Fu www.chunyi-kungfu.com

Looks quite interesting even if it is kind of the typical Shaolin stage stuff, high production value!

    Thanks for the link, firepalm

We brought this up before on our Shaolin tours thread as well as a query from David.
I assume from your post that you haven't seen the show yet. Has anyone seen it?

    G~

Did you happen to notice the scroll bar buttons on the pages at the chun yi site?

Do those wu dip dao look familiar to you? lol.

Looks like a cross between cirque/acrobats and warriors tours.

The troupe was out and about at the beaches while here doing their workouts and such. Lot's of wushu practice etc etc.

Didn't get to see the show, ah well, maybe next time.

Wow, those could even be our image - the shadow matches on the knucklebow side of the guard; the light on the blade seems different but that could be a result of stripping down the image. How funny.

I'd love to see the show, but the closest it comes is Reno, which is several hours away (and a gambling mecca, so given my recent gambling record, it might prove way too expensive for me... ) The show looks high production. Interesting how it's obviously styled after the Shaolin tours, even to the point of having the opening curtain being Shaolin's famous White Garment Hall mural, but it never mentions Shaolin, at least as far as I noticed. That gets neatly around any prohibitions of the Shaolin name.

yeah, the fact they're all bald and their master character is wearing the saffron robes certainly puts them far and away from shaolin.

all the trappings without the name brand. Clever!

well, margarine is margarine no matter what tub it comes in.
