1st International Beijing Traditional Kung Fu & Tai Chi Camp was great !
The first International Beijing Training Camp, held through the whole August month, was a great success
with outstanding instructors and students attending from USA,Russia,China,Germany,UK, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium and others. Master Zhang Xinbin,Mike Martello & Rene Ho did a fantastic job of organising this 1st Traditional Beijing Camp with superb locations, training areas, food and accomodation. If you didnt go then put a mark in your diary and make sure you don't miss the 2nd Beijing Camp which will happen in July 2008 !! The main base was Long Quan 4 star hotel grounds. It seemed as if the whole hotel was taken over by "kung fu fever" with classes popping up all over the place and staff & guests expressing a genuine interest in all the foreigners practising 'chinese gong fu' ! The other training location was also very special, high on a mountainside outside Beijing, the beautiful and serene Jie Tai Buddhist Temple. With breathtaking views and superb atmosphere everyone could really get into their training here. In total over the month there were around 70 students ,from around the world, attending the camp ,many of whom were travelling to Asia for the first time. However, that was no problem as the organisation had a number of assistants who were busy almost full-time sorting out all the "little things" which cropped up. Thankfully, the organisers had also secured the services of our very excellent guide ....Mr Hu ..Mr Hu ...Mr Hu .....Mr Hu....a champion among men ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Organisation: Zhang Xinbin - Chairman Beijing Peoples Martial Arts Association Mike Martello - Chief Instructor Wudang Belgium Rene Ming Fai Ho - Beijing Peoples Martial Arts Association List of guests at opening ceremony: Wang Jie, Chairman of AMAR Taipei Sui Shiguo,Vice-Secretary China Wushu Association Di Guoyong, Chairman of the Xingyiquan Research Association He Guodong, Chairman Tongbei Research Association Jia Shusen, Chairman of Baguazhang Research Association Zhang Guisheng, Taiyi Sword Research Association Gao Fei, Vice-Secretary Shijingshan Wushu Association Ma Weiling, technical coordinator Mantis Boxing Research Association Wang Guangquan, originator of Tibetan Semdong Deqing Yoga Guest Instructors Information Feng Liguo Master Feng is the disciple of Grandmaster Xiao Qinglin (18th generation Chen Style Taiji).
