NY Schools

A friend of mine lives in NYC and was thinking about checking out Alan Lee's school. Anyone give me some insight on Mr. Lee or know anything about his school?

My friend sent me links to schools that he is thinking about checking out. He wanted to know if I knew anything about them, but since I don't I posted some links. What schools can you recommend outside of your own (which I suggested to him to check out).

there's a ton of fake crap in NYC, sadly so....

I'd recommend Yee's Hung Ga for traditional southern...

If he's near brooklyn, get in touch with Lawclansman on the praying mantis board, 7 star mantis, late Chiu Leun lineage

I'd stay clear of all the shaolin temple crap

I would advise your friend to avoid Bo Law. It's a tad expensive, and from my experience not good.

Yee's is a good option.
So is Yip Wing Hong's school (Lung Ying).
As is Pak Mei with Kwong Man Fong.
He could also check out Su Yu Chang's school.

JP, Sifu Carl (Lawclansman) would be a good one to check out for sure.

So would Su Yu Chang.

i'm not the perfect martial scholar by any means...but, were there any 'Shaolin Temples' in HK?

OK, having found this, I guess that is the generally held opinion. I'm surprised, but as a beginner I'll at least assume some of it is true.
