dim mak nonsense

I indeed have dim mak, because if I touch you, you will die, when and how I'm not saying, but you WILL die, I can be 100% sure that at some time you are gonna die

There was a western journalist living in the PI, he watched a match between two guys where a "death strike" was used and the guy indeed died. He died a few days later though. The journalist followed up by getting an autopsy done. Teh guy had been hit real hard in the back area, he ruptured a kidney and died of euremic poisoning, science kids, not magic

Chan Tai San, raised in monastery by a Buddhist monk doing KF, studied with a laundry list of big names in China, called a living national treasure was asked about dim mak by a not so bright stock trader who thought he could buy any secret... I translated

Dim mak is hitting areas that are weak and do the most damage, eyes, groin, etc.... that's it, period....

Heh, heh, heh. I seem to recall a certain ad in Inside Kung Fu magazine back in the 80s with an instructor (who you know quite well) advertising Lama Pai Kung Fu videos. Seems that the term "Dim Mak" was used in that ad. You wouldn't know anything about THAT would you Sifu, uh I mean "Coach" Ross?

I SAW Dim Mak used tonight!

Kevin Randleman used a Dim Mak Left Hook Strike to the "invincible" CroCop and knocked him out. Obviously, he didn't use full force, or it would have killed him

cerebus, the problem with only THINKING you are smart when you are in fact NOT, is that you can get caught in the act

if you can find the ad, you'll find that the tapes were not done by either Chan Tai San or the NYKK people, ie me or Steve Ventura, they were done by a person who tried to get in on the fame, and in fact, the tapes were never made,

I can't tell you how many stupid people bought those tapes, never got them, then called me and complained, I was like "dude, WHO did you give money to? Uh, not me, sorry, better luck next time"

Wow! Whoever that guy was, he'd better keep quiet about it, he'll have guys wanting to try out their Dim Mak on him, heh, heh. It was an interesting looking ad, with a nice color pic of GM Chan. It ran for awhile too. Wonder if anyone ever prosecuted the guy.

As for the "THINKING you're smart when you're not" comment, was that directed at me? Actually I'd have to be "psychic" to have known that the ad wasn't real, and I've never thought I was psychic.

If you were trying to imply I was affiliated with the ad, you were dead wrong.... I know exactly what you are talking about, and Chan tai San, myself and S ventura were not in either the ad nor in the videos (which since they ere never made is no jump)

I used to love the dummies who called me to complain, I'd ask them why they were calling me when they called a different number to order the tapes, they'd always say "uh, like, that number is now disconnected" and I'd laugh and tell them that if they never gave me any money how'd they expect to get money BACK from me?

speaking of video, since people ask why we "all of a sudden" became fighting oriented

get the tapes S Ventura and I actually did make and sold for a year or so, we made 8 of them, with forms only being two, all the other 6 tapes were pure fighting technique....

we have been doing fighting stuff since DAY ONE, in fact, we dumped the tape series since all the "kung fu guys" always called up looking for tapes on dim mak

Actually, I was just trying to give you a good-natured ribbing about your past in Lama Pai. The ad was made to look as though it was put out by the group you were associated with.

As for the people who called you when the other line was disconnected, I don't know why you think they were stupid. If I were in the same situation I'd call anyone who might be able to direct me to the person or people I need to talk to.

Oh well. Sorry if you got the wrong idea from my post. I wasn't trying to tie you to any fraudulent video deals though. Later. T.

there was a time when every other month or so we were in IKF magazine, and our school was located in manhattan, and we were doing USA WKF events, and going to tournaments all the time

why would you buy tapes from a person never mentioned in any of those articles, send money to the middle of nowhere, or call some place NOT near our school, yet think you were buying from us?

I really loved the guys who thought being nasty was the route to redemption, "you are SURE you sent US money? Who did you make the check out to? mr so and so, well, that isn't us...."

and you really had to be a moron to answer those ads, they were targeted to the worst in kung fu wannabe

Well..."I" didn't order any of the tapes (yours or the others), though I was interested in Lama Pai and enjoyed the articles you wrote when you were teaching it.

Still, just because someone was never mentioned in magazine articles and doesn't live near those who were doesn't mean they don't know the art they claim to teach (in this case it may have been so, but it's hardly a general rule of thumb that can be applied to everyone). My own instructors have never been in any magazines and don't live anywhere near their instructor (who HAS), but they're still authentic and legitimate.

Oh well. Not any worry of mine. Have a nice evening. T.
