don't forget the penalty for dual weapon use.

Hands and feet used with Fa-Jing energy. Spear followed with double daggers would be nasty.

I have always been partial to the Monk Spade.

That's what I always competed with, back in the day.

Butterfly Swords. I have in depth backround with them and they work well in our close in fighting style as well as they are multi practical.

short knives or swords(approx 21 inch blades) works well with circle walking, twisting, and other bagua concepts. i like wooden canes or short sticks also... for long range weapon, nothing really beats a staff or spear, besides a whip... okay, maybe a chain as well.

I love the straight sword (Jian). Love the graceful movements of the form. Love the lethality of its applications. I am this is a weapon I can still use when I am 80yo.

My favorite is the simple ol' regular Dao. The skills transfer nicely to just about anything you can get your hands on.

unfortunately, I am pysched out by anything sharp for fearing of cutting myself during practice.

I am afraid of the whip and rope choking myself even with protective collar on--

so I like to use practice sword with dull edges.

and my favorite weapon of choice

would be staff (short, medium, long and extra long)

of course we may add a sharp object at the end of the staff.

I also like hidden weapon or an qi. but that is like not gentleman at all.

and it only works when close enough and surprising enough or works only the first time.
