Does anyone know anything about the Siping City Shaolin Martial Arts Academy? I have been to their web-site and it looks pretty good. Was wondering if anyone had been their or has heard anything about it.
Can you post a link to the website?
Yea, its pretty good stuff. One of my online buddies have been there and said it was great, although the training is a bit more modern in some respects(they have a modern wushu teacher along with the others.), you still can train at authentic shaolin there.
Amituofo~
valpurga said he (or she ) was going... of course, that was in 2001 and I couldn't find another post on it.

I looked at thier web site and it does look rather good. I'd like to go there and train if I had the money to do so. It's to bad we (myself) have to work and can't take three years off to study kung fu at the temple. Looking at the web site really makes me want to go thier.
their website has been known for containing significant factual errors.
Really, such as? Do they teach traditional kung fu? Or is it the flashy wu shu crap with all the butterfly kicks and acrobatic stuff?
dont know what they teach. never been to the school. but i'd assume both, like most schools.
the mistakes they had were things like saying shi deqian was previous abbot of shaolin temple, and just now i read shi deyang was the previous abbot. neither is true.
there were some other things, but the website has been edited a number of times. apparently by someone who doesnt know what they're talking about.
awe, i see.....ok.
Is was just posting Kung Fu Training in China: Pursuit of a Dream by Clemente Liberto, and I was reminded of his prior contribution, Shaolin Training in China: From Expectation to Reality, which is about Siping.
