Oh no! I used to be an artists' model, does that mean you're not going to take me seriously?! And who am I talking to again?

Lonewolf -- I met Teresa Lee a few years ago when I was living in Grand Rapids, MI. I visited her school when I was looking for a new school in the area. I watched one of her classes and she is, as you say, quite fierce and talented. She has a very interesting story too -- overcoming obesity and working very hard while juggling a nursing career and raising a family to become a very successful entrepeneur. Her story should be an inspiration to all aspiring women. Here is a pretty neat article on her: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl..._93084933/pg_1

Regarding the comment that girls in the KFF show "must have low self-esteem" -- I can say from meeting them that the quite the opposite is true -- I think you need a certain confidence just to appear and perform in public like that, whether you are an actor, musician, public speaker, etc. There is a certain stage fright you have to face and overcome to perform in that capacity. I'm sure we have all had butterflies in our stomachs when competing in a tournament, knowing that we are under watchful eyes. I think it is natural to be somewhat self-concious and worried about how you are being perceived, but someone with low self esteem would likely not have the courage to even put themselves in that kind of situation in the first place. Just my thoughts...

you got a limited view of the world my man. take me for example. im short and ungly with a little p3cker but if i were just the opposite i could be a male model. and if i could make some decent flow by working far fewer hours each week, what do you think id spend my extra free time doing? sure some of it would be spent looking at animal porn on the internet, but a great deal of it would be spent lifting and training. which would only make me far tougher than i already am. which would raise my toughness to somewhat tough which would be totally sweet.
    where's my beer?

    Exactly!

See, I'm and devilishly handsome and hung like a donkey (in fact that may have been me in one of those vids you were watching GDA - the thick black donkey hairs worry some people but...) and I made up a lot of money! So that's one for the haters!
its safe to say that I train some martial arts. Im not that good really, but most people really suck, so I feel ok about that - Sunfist

Sometime blog on training esp in Japan
