A school name

I'm having a brain ****. I studie southern praying mantis and my sifu wants me to think of a name for the school.

Does anyone have any good ideas or some tips to help me come up w/ something?

How about:

"<your area of town> martial arts training centre"

no point in throwing up chinese name that people can't pronounce.

If you want your school name in Chinese, then have a calligraphist write out the name in ideograms and you can have them both together on your sign.

Jook Lum, Iron Ox, whatever Kung-Fu Academy, etc

I would go with the first-it's easy to say, therefore easy to remember. Youwant your school to be a household word, like...spatula. Nobody is actually going to remember a Chinese name-unless you are in a chinese community-but you can use the last name-if it's easy to pronounce. ex: Fong's Kung-Fu Association, rather than Ng's Kung-Fu Assoc. Most Americans cant pronounce General Tso's Chicken, how the heck are they gonna say Ng's Kung-Fu?? And don't even bother with Nam Tong Long Kung-Fu Mo-Gwoon! ;-)

make the name you list in the phone book start with "A" . LIke authentic spm kung fu. The A will put you at the beginning of the list in the book. Unless you are the only school in town then is does not matter.
