    Why?

Why do you learn martial arts?
Why do you teach martial arts?(if you teach)
What do you hope/expect to gain from your training?

I learn martial arts so I can sit around and talk about how much better what I do is than what you do.

I also do it because I have a high need to be included in a group and a low need to exercise critical thinking skills.

I also like to talk about how I could kick Mike Tyson's ass because what he does is Low Level.

    Have I missed anything?

    Bahahaha....
    MP stole my thoughts. Bastage.

You have no idea how on point what you just said is, in comparison to my thoughts right now...

But serious answers are always good too.

as a sihing it is an obligation, but i enjoy it, also i teach because Im compelled. the more i assist others is the more i learn, certain things cant be learned by ones own training, but by observation.
i expect all of this will help me when i become a teacher myself.

What do you hope/expect to gain from your training?

    fulfillment

    Why?

    > Why do you learn martial arts?
To improve myself. Why martial arts specifically? Well, I tried bowling, but after 6 months of hard training, all I had were a beergut and a Popeyesque forearm. Seriously, martial arts build a foundation for a stable life: physical health, mental balance, emotional stability, dedication, determination, perseverance...

    Total world domination.

All right now, son, I want you to get a good night's rest. And remember, I could murder you while you sleep.
Hey son, I bought you a puppy today after work. But then I killed it and ate it! Hahah, I´m just kidding. I would never buy you a puppy.
