I saw this movie in NYC Chinatown at The Pagoda Theater. What was odd about it was that the scenes were out of sequence. The movie starts with a scene where we see a parrot bandaged up. We later learn how it got that way when we observe it being held by its tail and used as a weapon (it was worth the wait).
While Quentin Tarantino was considered genius for his use of sequence confusion, I see it as only inspired. And I believe this movie inspired it. I have seen reviews at IMDB about this movie. Not one review mentions how the movie was shot out of sequence. Maybe it was a mistake. Here is the trailer:
