Dan Hardy Patrick Barry not TCMA

Dan Hardy (listed as BJJ, Muay Thai and Taekwon do)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Hardy

    Patrick Barry (listed as kickboxing)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick...martial_artist)

Barry is interesting, because its clear he started with Russell Jones Kick boxing and now pursues kick boxing full time with Shawn Liu.

He has competed and dominated in San Shau in China apprently.

He does not claim Wing Chun, Hung Gar, Low Gar, etc, etc. as his primary style. It's kick boxing.

Closing threads and making personal attacks are weak = weak, fearful kung fu men.... don't like to deal with outside world.

    Typical.

Also interesting to note that Barry has different coaches for wrestling, striking and BJJ. Imagine that.

Are you really bringing up the point that TCMA is useless because TCMA fighters in MMA have multiple coaches?
If that's the case, then boxing's useless - it's never won in MMA without crosstraining.
BJJ must be useless too if Royce crosstrained in TKD for his stand-up.

What would happen if a year-old baby fell from a fourth-floor window onto the head of a burly truck driver, standing on the sidewalk?
It's practically certain that the truckman would be knocked unconscious. He might die of brain concussion or a broken neck.
Even an innocent little baby can become a dangerous missile WHEN ITS BODY-WEIGHT IS SET INTO FAST MOTION.

don't know why you would say it's useless or dead ray. There are gems in every traditional practice. Some you have to dig deep to find but they are still there non the less.

You can't erase a persons past even though they list generic "kickboxing" as their style. I believe that just means "unspecified" or "general" martial arts and pretty much includes eveything.

I don't see kickboxing (varied backgrounds) or MMA (varied backgrounds) as styles, just a type of sport fighting.

Of course it's a mix. That's what the 1st M in MMA stands for.

Here's our Pat Barry thread. Pork Chop picked up our Dan Hardy thread above.
