Has any on here traind w/ Zhang Li Peng ?

A friend just moved to NYC to go to school and was looking for info on his classes.

He went by Yanming's and Guolin's already but has yet to stop by Li Pengs.

zhang li peng is very good.

i went to his tournament 2/3 years ago, his students were ok for the year or two they were training. i havent seen them lately. and after 2/3 years im sure they improved. i kow nothing about his classes or teaching methods.

your friend should check him out.

my nephew used to train with him.

while his skill is good he tends to be an absentee sifu.

most of the training andinsruction is done by others.

He tends to be more interested in his film career then running the school/gym.

almost zero applications and forget about any sparring (at least for the novices with a years experience)

Re: The PRC Shaolin guys that came to the US from PRC in the 90's

Really enjoyed this film. Li Peng impressed me, he came across as a real person in the film. The film not only introduces his wife but his parents and siblings. The other guys? Hum. Not so much. The director could have dug a bit deeper into their stories.
