Yes- Lui Ming Fai in HongKong and Macao. He is in the dark shirt- second from the left in the first standing row- a little to the left behind Mrs Ho who is at the table with Ho sifu..

    http://www.wix.com/luimingfai/vingtsun

Lui has been in real fights and full contact matches including against MT fighters.

Ho sifu has done both- trained people for their development and people for fighting.

Augustine Fong, my sifu was in a an earlier class(1960-1968). Lui was in a later class.

Buddy Wu around Cleveland also learned from Ho sifu.

Master Ho also taught a group in Toronto. he does not teach regular classes(retired) but polishes up his students' work.

Master Ho began directly with Ip Man in the mid 50s.. including regular private lessons and chi sao with Ip Man..lots of discussion of concepts with IM, . checked in on him when IM was ill- carried him on his shoulders to the hospital
and visited with him earlier on the day when IM died. HKM generally stayed out of the media and politics worlds. An old fashioned sifu.

Is there surviving documentation of these events (newspaper reports, tournament results, pictures, etc.) ?

In Lui's website there is a picture of a fight,. In Tam Kam Hinh's website now down there was a photo of his match witha MT guy. Some years ago I posted a link to TKH's website and that picture.
The Bak mei loser of a major (BM/WC) challenge match was unfortunately damaged for life.
A kung fu bro went to see him in HK.

Not everyone knows what KFO is.

Any way- my main purpose was just to show Ho Kam Ming at 87 at his b day party-no other agenda.

Birthdays are just the right time for a little nostalgia. I wanted others to see the result of his prime.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------Tom-understood.
    KFO=kung fu online.

On pictures etc lui will have some. Fong sifu would have some. Hawkins C would have some.
Then there would be stories in K papers and mags. But I have never been much of a collector.
Interested in primarily learning and applying.
Master Ho is old school...not a media promoter.
BTW- a non sequitur but interesting--HKM and WSL were both on the board of the VTAA in it's early days.
Some students ran a site for HKM at one time -it had pictures of fighters in full contact matches.

HKM's slt is on a disk that is floating in the market. He is very accurate in what he does and teaches. He spent a fortune learning wing chun in his early days.
I wish that he would write his memoirs but many old line sifus are not into writing...unfortunately'
His timing is still very good.

Very accurate, Joy.... Sifu Ho was always meticulous when he taught us. He was always extremely precise about every minor bit of detail. The thing I really enjoyed most learning from him was how he was able to address, explain, and illustrate every point clearly, whether the point in question was raised by him or by us.... something not often seen in modern day generation of WC teachers.

And he does look very good in the picture.... as does my other kung fu brothers. Especially Si Mo.... she looks like she has not aged a bit.... !!!
The more you know, the more you find you don't know...

I have always appreciated the way that Master Fong and my sifu, Kurt Saenz, have many drills within the practices that are so clear, concise and thorough. Did Master Ho teach this way also?
