    Quite harsh!!

I know what you're saying, but did you see how many locals were in that class? Waste or not, I'd still like to know where these guys come from. Wouldn't you?

    forms

I really liked the chumkui, nice body unity. The first form was way different from anything I've trained in, looks very internal. Good use of waste to generate power. Love to touch hands w/ them.

I agree with TJ on the dummy clip (although he was a bit harsh LOL)....its over the top really. That kinda stuff only impresses newbies.

From the CK clip if you watch the second section.
    1.11 to 1.29

The body stays facing the same direction while the bong is put out. Each of the three times the Bong is put out his bodies direction doesnt change...only forces from stepping foward is present from the body. No turning waist. Only slightly after that section when he applies the ginger punch/ upper cut.

So IMHO the body unity could be improved.

I realise not everyone does this in the forms but IMO its what we should do to liven up VT and make the forms less static.

Horse, waist and arms should work together. Yu Ma Lik.

I want to see some actual application

I think its odd that their CK form can look so similar, yet their SNT form look so different!

KPM, its not odd that form was incorporated from a Yip Man student.

Viet wing chun is very interesting. It has several different influences and you never know what you will see . They have also mixed the names of their first teachers so there is some confusion over what was realy taught and by whom.

It was a small comment so it should fit, but it was more a statement on the attitude to the practice of the form, he seemed bored and uninterested in what he was doing, simply running through a sequence without intent rather than trying to demonstrate knowledge or understanding of energies, more pot-bellied pig than snake or crane.

If you are impressed and support flacid performances then I can only hope you find like minded others who share your opinion in your Wing Chun training and love life pmsl
