Thanks for the recap, MK. I always appreciate your reviews of NY Sanda material - it's what's prompted me to get involved in the first place! NY Sanda can potentially be a huge resource to the greater CMA community on multiple levels.

I was where I said I would be, as Ross can attest. The other party was not.

I read it on the plane and now I'm making notes. The workbook was an awesome idea. I just wish it included Carmine's material. He covered 7 or 8 half-guard sweeps but I can only remember a couple of them now.

Probably the sweeps you liked best and were the most "natural" anyways.

I've been working on my program for a long time, Carmine is still "new" to the organization and so we are still working out the program, polishing and fine tuning his material into a coherent program

We filmed his third DVd which will have I think all the half guard sweeps

I get stuck in half-guard A LOT, though. So I was really hoping to utilize some of them.

    2 things are essential

    underhooks

    not being flat

the first series begins with reaching between the legs for the ankle

then there is the "poor hands" and the clear series

    maybe that helps

Man, that guy in red could be an underwear model. Or maybe a spokesman for Trojan Magnums.

I've already modified my curriculum based on what I learned in NY. I changed my normal warm-ups and now rotate between Tim's warm-up routine and the instructor lead warm-up LKFMDC does.

Also, I've already started adding LKFMDC's kickboxing drills into what I was already doing.

Monday I am going to go over all the neck tie escapes and make everyone do that killer drill where you wrestle and then kick the bags.

    fun fun fun
