what I learned of monkey, and no doubt it's surely not the same source as Sifu Abel's, was completely about takedowns (scissors, single and double legs, knee bar) and ground 'n pound utilizing fists, palms and knees to strike with. there was some chin na but with no emphasis on submitting at all...the theory was to break stuff and run away.

In Nu Hou Quan, techniques should be practiced at all levels (aerial, standing and ground). Grappling incorporates pinning and locking techniques using: the hands, the legs and the hands/legs combined (among other things). These techniques fall under our "four hands theory" category.
