MMA in MD

My wife and I were watching UFC Unleashed the other night and she was getting pretty into it and the it happened. My wife said the most romantic thing. Those 11 words we all hope to hear one day. "Is there anywhere we can go see a fight around here? She is so cute. Anyway, it made me realize i have no idea if there is. So i figured i would put it out to you fine folks. Do any of you know any venues that host MMA fights in the DC area? Maybe we can go see a fight for our anniversary (as this magic moment plays in the background).

I'm in Northern VA. There are events often in the Richmond, Virginia Beach area and New Jersey area but not sure about Maryland. I don't believe MMA is sanctioned in Maryland yet but there are frequent boxing events if you are interested.

I've only been to one event in DC area and that was a kickboxing event in DC "K3" like 5 years ago that was supposed to have an MMA fight with Nakapan (if you know him) but his opponent was injured or something so there was just a jiu-jitsu demo. I've been to the UFC in New Jersey and Connecticut 5 or 6 times now. Can't wait for the next one on the east coast--might just have to start going to Vegas for an event once a year.
