    Cardio Tai Chi??

Does anyone know any more about this:
    http://www.shuai-chiao.org/taichimonkey/cardio.shtml

Has anyone ever seen what it looks like? Apparently, this is something that folks compete with.
The 10 Elements of Choy Lay Fut:
Kum, Na, Gwa, Sau, Chop, Pow, Kup, Biu, Ding, Jong

    The 13 Principles of Taijiquan:
Ward Off, Roll Back, Press, Push, Pluck, Elbow, Shoulder, Split, Forward, Back, Left, Right, Central Equilibrium

And it doesn't hurt to practice stuff from:
    Mounts, Guards, and Side Mounts!

As soon as you combine the word "cardio" with taiji .... you're doing it wrong already.

Cardio is going onto the highway and flooring the engine. Taiji is like moving the water through the hose by squeezing it. The circulation improves but not by speeding up the heart. We have taken our pulse before doing taiji excersice it doesn't change.... 20 minutes should be no sweat, literally.

David Carradine had a Cardio Tai Chi video come out a few years ago during the initial Tae-Bo craze. It was so funny...He did this snake technique thing and it made me laugh.

Anyways, My opinion is you can do anything fast and it can be called cardio...Blow through a Tai Chi Form, play golf by running hole to hole withou stopping, cardio bowling by using 2 lanes at once so there is no rest...to each their own

Wanna make tai chi more physcially demanding? Slow it down even more. It's a great excercise for strength and control when you hold your stances and balance longer than normal.
