WHF weapon books or 40yr book

    Greetings .

Does anyone have copies or scans of the WHF weapon books?

Or any other of the WHF books that are not in the 1-16 series?

Its the holidays ...lets see if anyone is in a giving/sharing mood

Please PM me or answer here.

It would mean so much to me to locate copies or originals (I know thats pushin it )

The WHF 40th Anniversary Commemorative Journal consists of several articles written by WHF himself including an article about his relationship with his Sifu, Great Grandmaster Law, Gwong Yook and also an article of how he started studying martial arts. There are also articles written by his students.

He also lists the names of all the graduates of each level from 1948 to 1972.

Lastly, he published photos of himself demonstrating 3 empty hand forms: Praying Mantis Steals the Peach, Flying Goose Palm, and Descending Eagle Palm. There are also the photos for the Drunken Ground-rolling Saber form demonstrated by my Si-bak Wong, Hon Chiu.

This book was not for sale and was a commemorative journal within the school. That is why it is not commonly found nor was it known of until recent years through the Internet.

Correction Shifu NPM, the Descending Eagle Palm is by his son and the book is not only for his school but for the 7* mantis community. WHF also sent some of it to us as was all his other books.

Right you are! Absolutely, thank you for your correction regarding the performer of the Lok Ying Jeung empty hand form. I must confess that I did not have the Journal in front of me when I wrote my last post and I must be out of my mind to confuse the photos of Wong, Hon Funn and those of his son.

...the book is not only for his school but for the 7* mantis community. WHF also sent some of it to us as was all his other books.
I am not surprised at all that my Sigung, WHF, sent copies of the 40th Anniversary Journal to your school. There were some commemorative greetings at the beginning of the book from the Malaysia branch that were printed in the journal. But I am curious, do you think all the other HK7* Mantis schools including those not under WHF lineage also have copies of the same journal?

    Hi!

the Descending Eagle Palm is by his son...
I pointed out because the majority of us doesnt seen the book before and might pass the wrong information to others!

The greetings are from my shifu, sigung (WKH) and Shifu Yeoh Cheng Ho. They are all teaching 7* mantis in Chin Woo, Penang at different period of time. Being from the Chin Woo organisation and also si heng-tai, they were in communication all the time!

do you think all the other HK7* Mantis schools including those not under WHF lineage also have copies of the same journal?
Ofcourse not! For the simple reason that sometimes, people dont meet eye to eye!

    Hi MantisCool,

It was my understanding that the journal was a school publication and not publicly available for sale. WHF chose to share the journal at his discretion as in the case with your Sifu and Sigung. Is that what you meant by "7* community"?

    Hi! YM

I was thinking since WHF shared with us his journal he would have shared with others as well.

I am sure in HK there are many schools as well who are his friends and associates. And in such happy occasion, I am sure WHF would be most happy in invite them.
