The Master's Manual of Pa Kua Chang by Jerry Alan Johnson is very(!) impressive. Unfortunately it's out of print but you can sometimes find it second hand.

Kung Fu Elements by Liang Shou Yu is pretty good too.

Also check out "The Xingyi Boxing Manual" translated by John Groschwitz, good stuff!

What you need to do is buy all the books I'm selling.

Here you go:

The Essence of Internal Martial Arts: Esoteric Fighting Techniques and Healing Methods - Jerry Alan Johnson. 316 pages. $21. It's the 6th one down under "books and charts" on that page. Out of Print at amazon.com. This book is full of crazy training methods. For example, Unicorn Vibrational Palm Training, Dragon's Drilling Palm Training, SNake's Piercing Palm Training, various liniments, vibrational training, Drawing Ch'i into the Bone Marrow, Bone Squeezing, Palm Projection Exercise, Attacking the Nerves, Attacking the Blood Vessels, Herbal Medicine, Massage and Acupressure. The table of contents is 6 pages long. There's a lot of info in this book. Most of it (if not all of it) stems from Bagua. Lots of illustrations for the training techniques: "Swimming Dragon" Wooden posts, "Nine Palaces" Wooden Post, Weighted Vest Training, bursting a piece of tofu at the bottom of a tub of water training, hitting balls suspended from a string, rolling a staff with one end in a corner, striking suspended paper, etc. I just picked some random ones there.

The Striking Snake Manuevers - H. C. Chao. $7.00 62 pages. This is an old book. It has a little (one page) background on snake style, and then shows a form step by step. Each step has fighting applications. Not the best book out there, but how many books have you ever seen on snake style?

Shaolin Chin Na: The Seizing Art of Kung-Fu - Yang Jwing-Ming. $9.00 162 pages. Training, hand positions, massage. A decent book on the subject.

And I'll probably be selling The Art of Expressing the Human Body - Bruce Lee. I just have to look through it one more time, first.

Phoenix-Eye Fist - Don F. Draeger. $12.00 This is the book that someone (Vash?) was raving about. It is pretty awesome. It's all about the system that uses only the phoenix-eye fist, and shows some training methods as well. Out of Print.

Grandmaster Liang has several good books and videos - Kung Fu Elements is his Wushu based publication. You can learn more about him and his books before you decide to buy at www.shouyuliang.com.

Dr. Yangs books on qigong are very interesting. I have most of them.

Another good book is chin na in ground fighting, by Al Arsenault & Joe Faulise. It gives some really good basic theory to locking techniques, and a lot of scientific explanations of leverage and why certain holds work better than others. It also has a pretty detailed section on pressure points.
