Did anyone ever see that Superman that Alan Moore did, consequently the only superman I owned later? It was really good, it started out seeming like it was going to be a campy as can be, Wonder Woman and Bat Man go to the fortress of solitude to visit Superman on his birthday, but superman is in a coma with a spore on his chest or some such stuff. As it turns out, he is imagining a life in Krypton, and is supposed to be happy, but it's all less than perfect. It's actually pretty good, but that's the only good thing I've read in Superman.

I have a copy of the "death of Robin" episode (entitled 'Death in the Family'), 'all four episodes in one' or something like that. And boy, that Jason Todd was a pr!ck (pardon my french... or my freedomese) who deserved to die. So, that episode definitely ought to be reprinted

Why doesn't it mention Brian Bolland!? Surely a collection like that isn't going to leave out The Killing Joke!?

My guess is that since The Killing Joke still does good numbers as a single volume, they don't want to mess with that.

your avatar is from the Watchmen by Alan Moore. Very cool comic, are you interested in LXG making it to the big screen?

I don't know what you mean by LXG, so I don't have an answer to that.

League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen would be my guess.

Yeah, that's probably right. I'm not very excited about it. Most comics should be comics. Most movies should be movies. Making comics into movies means you lose the virtues of the medium. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in any case is decidedly minor Moore. A well written, well drawn, rollicking adventure story with a gimmick, but nothing more than that. I'm sure that if they got a good screenwriter, director and editor it'll accomplish the same thing in cinemas, and at least it won't be the travesty From Hell was. The only genuinely excellent movie made from a genuinely excellent comic book in my experience was Ghost World, but it was changed so drastically they're completely different experiences. I prefer the comic, because I find the Enid and Rebecca relationship more compelling than the Enid and Seymore relationship. But they're both very good.

I'm looking forward to the "American Splendor" movie, too.

"YOU ARE SILK SPECTRE... ...OR YOU ARE THE COMEDIAN

You're law enforcement material! Whether it's working vice or for the CIA, you have all the tools. You're brash, tough, and resilient. You could go far!

You'd do well on the "other side" of the law too. Consider organized crime, pornography, politics, or the tobacco industry."

Coo, to bad I never read watchmen
All right now, son, I want you to get a good night's rest. And remember, I could murder you while you sleep.
Hey son, I bought you a puppy today after work. But then I killed it and ate it! Hahah, I´m just kidding. I would never buy you a puppy.

    Me:
OZYMANDIAS, as if there was any doubt....

Kristoffer, you really should pick up the WATCHMEN...

it may be slightly dated (in that the story has a definate history begining with WWII) but still such an utterly profound read.
The book prettymuch redefined what a world could be like if "superheroes" could existed within it.

    it's pretty much Available anywhere...
