Is this the same as Liu He (Six harmonies)?

Sifu Wing Lam refers to it as Lok Hop (cantonese.) He had the hand form, but didn't keep it, so I never learned it from him. I learned the lok hop broadsword though - in fact, that and cane were my main competition sets for years. I don't have lyrics for these sets. When Sifu Lam and I were doing the videos, he didn't have lyrics either.

If this is the lok hop, do you have the broadsword?

    If it isn't, well, nevermind

    Yes it is!!

    gene,

Yes it is the same set. And I do have the lyrics for the saber. I was going to post it this weekend.

However I do not have the lyrics for the Cane set otherwise known as Dragon Head Cane. I was hoping that you had it.

    I do have the cane!

I posted the whole list of what I had when we began this exchange. I'm posting the cane now. Look forward to the broadsword - I love that set!

Sure I could see that translation...

How would you compare the hand form with the sword form. I really love that sword form and asked my Sifu to learn the hand form long ago, but he said he had forgotten it.

    Comparison of the Two

    Gene,

The hand set is a little longer than NSL #8 and the techniques are similar to NSL. The movements are fluid like NSL but the flavor is different. When I learned the Liu Ho Saber it had a different feeling than the NSL saber. That feeling or flavor was the same feeling that I got when I learnt the Liu Ho hand set. Most people who learn the hand set stated in the beginning that the set really felt awkward, like a right handed person trying to do something for a left handed person. But after practicing it for awhile, the set starts to feel very natural. In other words, both the saber and hand set have obviously the same unique flavor and is different from NSL.

In fact I really like this hand set.
