My reason, Discipline
To be able to kill god.
started for a lot of reasons. health/fitness but didn't want a traditional gym. there were no sports for adults after i left college where i lived. appreciation of the culture and history. too many movies. boredom. but why i joined isn't as important to me as why i stayed. i ended up loving it. it was the comraderie and the constant challenge to improve myself.
Got my ass kicked as a kid. Dad took me to a school.
Protection..Bill Lassister was one heck of an instructor
Most of the MA, I studied in the past had this KILL, KILL, KILL THE ENEMY ALL!!! Attitude. I never felt good about that although I would try this that and the other thing. Then about four years ago, I studied Kung fu because it ephasized Physical, mental, and spiritual fitness. I liked that! Seeking to perfect myself so to help others and make a better world! Ok, time to get off the soap box!!! (Smile)
I was on the road to Damascus when a blinding light told me to study kung fu
